Meet the People Behind Our Photography Studio in Leeds

Hi, we’re the team behind Noura Studio - a small creative photography team based in Leeds, working with families, couples and people who want their photographs to feel natural, personal and full of feeling.

Between us, we have been taking photographs for more than 13 years - long before Noura Studio became a business, photography was simply something we loved doing for family, friends and anyone who asked. That experience is a big part of why we feel so at home behind the camera during real, unscripted moments, and why turning it into Noura Studio felt like a natural next step rather than a fresh start.

For us, photography is not just about taking beautiful pictures. It is about noticing the little things - the way a parent holds their newborn, the quiet look between a couple, the laughter of children, or the small details that make a wedding day feel like yours.

We know that being in front of the camera can feel a little awkward at first. That is completely normal. Our job is to help you feel at ease, guide you gently when needed and capture the moments that happen naturally along the way.

Outside of photography, Ali works as a Marketing Manager and Asal works in accounting - but photography has always been something we truly love doing together. When we are not working or behind the camera for Noura Studio, we are usually planning our next adventure, exploring new places or taking photographs of our own memories along the way.

As a photography studio in Leeds, we work across the city and out into Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire, meeting families and couples at home or wherever feels most comfortable for them. We don't work from a fixed public studio space — instead, a portable setup travels to you, which means newborn, maternity and family sessions can happen in the surroundings your family already knows, rather than somewhere unfamiliar.

That approach shapes everything about how a session runs, from how early we arrive to how much we guide versus simply observe. It also means every session looks a little different, since no two homes or families are the same — which is exactly the kind of natural variation we want in the finished photographs.
